Dunesilver

Dunesilver is a magical metal found in the Yzerid Desert that, despite its name, is a form of steel, not silver. It does not conduct heat, and remains cool to the touch even if left out in the hot sun of the desert. Due to this property, it cannot be forged without Shadowflame Coal, which weakens its effect to the point that the intense heat of the coal can make the material malleable. Even when heated over Shadowflame Coal, the metal is still very difficult to shape.

The metal can be used to create special armor that can be made resistant, or even immune to fire, with the proper enchantments.
