Reef Lapis
Reef Lapis is a special variant of lapis that has more of a teal hue, and is found growing around coral reefs in the ocean. It can be hard to spot due to its color, but it is quite valuable, as it has the ability to purify the water it is placed into, as well as desalinating it. It can purify roughly one gallon of water per hour. It will remove sediment, salt, bacteria, and other contaminants. It will not remove poisons or other more complex harmful materials. As gems go, it is one of the cheaper varieties, as it is fairly abundant on the ocean floor. One of the most popular ways to use it is to simply put it inside of a flask or waterskin so that travelers can purify any water they find.
