Rockhorn

The dwarves of Almoroc have long relied on their trusty steeds, the sturdy and resilient Rockhorns. These magnificent creatures are renowned for their strength and endurance, making them perfect for traversing the rugged terrain of the mountainous region.   The Rockhorn is a massive animal, standing over six feet tall at the shoulder, with a thick hide of mottled brown and grey. Their powerful legs end in hooves that can grip even the most treacherous of rocky surfaces. Their massive horns curve outward and down, like the tusks of a boar, and are used to dig through the snow and ice to find vegetation to graze on.   The Rockhorns are highly intelligent and fiercely loyal to their dwarven masters. They have been selectively bred by the dwarves for generations to produce the ideal traits of strength, endurance, and loyalty. They are used not only as pack animals and mounts, but also as guardians and companions to their dwarven handlers.   The dwarves of Almoroc consider the Rockhorn to be sacred creatures, and treat them with the utmost respect and care. They are never mistreated or overworked, and are given the finest care and attention. In return, the Rockhorns serve their dwarven masters with unwavering devotion and loyalty, making them invaluable members of Almoroc society.
