The Book of the Forge God

In the beginning, there was only chaos and darkness. But Umbris, the great Forge God, looked upon the void and saw the potential for something more. With his divine hammer, he began to shape the world, forging mountains from the earth and rivers from the sea.   As he worked, Umbris saw that the world needed inhabitants to fill its vast spaces. And so, he crafted the dwarves, a race of skilled artisans and warriors who would honor him for all time. From his own fiery essence, he imbued them with the gift of creation, and they in turn crafted wonders of metal and stone.   The dwarves, in their devotion to Umbris, created a new race of beings - the Warforged - to aid them in their battles against the forces of darkness. These constructs were brought to life by the Forge God himself, and imbued with the power to fight as fiercely as any living being.   In times of need, Umbris continues to aid his followers, granting them the power to forge weapons and armor imbued with his own fiery essence. These creations are among the greatest treasures of the mortal plane, and are revered by warriors and craftsmen alike.   For those who seek to master the art of crafting, Umbris is the ultimate guide and mentor. His divine domains of artifice, fire, knowledge, runes, and protection are the keys to unlocking the secrets of the forge, and his followers honor his legacy by pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the world of mortal craft.   We, the followers of Umbris, offer up our greatest creations to him, knowing that they are but a pale reflection of his divine skill. We strive always to improve, to perfect our craft, and to honor the great Forge God in all that we do. May his fiery essence continue to inspire us for all time.
