Wood Elf

The Wood Elves are a subrace of Elves who have made their home in the dense forests of Aenwood. They are known for their agility, stealth, and their close relationship with nature. Unlike their high elf cousins, the Wood Elves tend to live in small, close-knit communities within the forest, shunning the large cities and sprawling civilizations of the other races. They have a deep reverence for the natural world and are fiercely protective of it, often going to great lengths to preserve the delicate balance of the forest.   Their homeland of Korana was once a beautiful and verdant land, filled with towering trees, pristine lakes, and shimmering meadows. The Wood Elves thrived in this idyllic setting for centuries, living in harmony with the land and all its inhabitants. However, their peaceful existence was soon shattered by the arrival of the Humans, who had begun to settle the land and establish their own kingdoms.   At first, the Wood Elves tried to coexist peacefully with the Humans, but it soon became clear that the two races had vastly different values and priorities. The Humans began to cut down the trees and clear the land, destroying the natural habitats of the forest creatures and disrupting the delicate balance of the ecosystem. The Wood Elves, who had always been deeply connected to the natural world, could not stand idly by as their home was destroyed, and they soon found themselves engaged in a bitter and protracted war with the Humans.   Despite their small numbers and lack of advanced technology, the Wood Elves proved to be a formidable adversary for the Human armies. They used their knowledge of the terrain and their unmatched archery skills to launch deadly ambushes on the Human soldiers, quickly disappearing back into the forest before the Humans could mount an effective counterattack. However, despite their tactical prowess, the Wood Elves were eventually forced to abandon their homeland and flee to the relative safety of the forested region of Aenwood.   Today, the Wood Elves are a proud and independent people who fiercely guard their freedom and way of life. They are skilled hunters, expert trackers, and gifted artisans, creating intricate works of art and jewelry from the natural materials of the forest. They are known to be wary of outsiders, but those who earn their trust and respect are treated with great hospitality and warmth.
