History

In a time before history, there existed a powerful sorceress who fell in love with a man of no magical ability. In a cruel twist of fate, his life thread was torn assunder. The sorceress, whose name has been lost to history, was left to grasp at the tatters. As she screamed out in a carnal rejection of their separation, she reached for forbidden magicks, tethering the frayed edges of her lover's life thread by tying them in knots until they formed a small glowing amulet of bronze and gem. The sorceress carried that amulet with her until she disappeared from the records. Its whereabouts have been lost to time, and while the odd rumor may float around from time to time, all have gone unconfirmed.
