Crerva af Venrel
Queen of the Bhradain Fae Crerva (a.k.a. af Venrel Fenrir (of the Venrel Fens)
Crerva of the Venrel Fens is the Faen queen of Bhradain, perhaps the last enclave of the once mighty Huldra fae of the line of Sylren. Crerva has seen the withdrawal and reemergence of magic in the world and has staved off the encroachment of men for centuries. She remains dedicated and apparently youthful, despite her age, owing to Bhradain's magic. She now hosts the rebels of Mairsal MacBrus, begrudgingly so.

Personal history
Crerva of the Fens of Venrel is a fae of unknown age. Though she claims to be as old as the wood itself to those unfamiliar with her, it is known she is descended from the line of royalty from the line of Sylren through to her great-grandfather Ealahad, youngest son of perhaps the greatest Fae leader, High King of Eregrinel Foriael Éra. Crerva represents the last dying embers of the Huldra fae of old, whose domains used to stretch far and wide. Queen of a faded people whose homeland is remembered as "Cailain" literally meaning the homeland. Crerva had guarded the forest of Bhradain against human encroachment since perhaps the earliest days of the Rasenna as even then the wood was known as a den of demons. While never shown, Crerva holds a deep sadness, from her kin came tales of Tirmagall, the city of Sylren, and the first home of the Huldra after their journey from the Outerworld. Tales of all the realms of the Galerainil and their splendor. Tales of Eregrinel especially remain in the heart of the queen, a land shining and glittering from gorgeous running rivers, bright green meadows of bountiful crops, and trees blooming with nine colors. Crerva alone remembers these times, she seems to have been but a girl when Ellandun fell, when the world of magic began to fade and when man's steel and industry replaced the natural wonders of the fae and giants. She came to Bhradain, supposedly the last refuge of Sylren's people, and made it the home of the poor scattered remnants of the once proudest line of the fae. She kept the wood free of men, she warded off the darkest days, when the Rasenna were at their strongest and the world knew nothing of the elder people amidst the dark corners of Bhradain. The splendor of Bhradain is like a pebble in the raging sea compared to the glories of the Huldra realms of old, yet Crerva maintains the memory of all her ancestors with the continued survival of Bhradain.
Since the fall of the Rasenna and the return of magic to the world, She has played humans off one another in an effort to prevent them from encroaching on her territory and it seems she will continue to do so for as long it takes to ensure the safety of her people. In the Kingdom of Tiranar, Crerva sees a new threat to the security of the forest, Tiranar is a power unlike any seen in centuries and this is why it seems Crerva has decided to ally with Mairsal and her troop of rebels, allowing them to seek refuge in her forest, for the first time since the days of Foriael, man and fae live side by side again. Queen Crerva herself, a deeply distrustful and paranoid figure, has little to fear from the outwardly honest and even simple "bandit queen" MacBrus who has treated the downtrodden fae of the forest with nothing less than absolute courtesy and respect. This tolerance of the fae contrasts with the historical attitudes of nearby humans who have taken to ever-encroaching on Bhradain and forcing Crerva to fight back in order to defend her people and her land from the humans. Crerva's attitude of reluctant toleration has rubbed many of Mairsal's rebels the wrong way, prime among them Fergus Munro, who has nearly been pricked with dozens of arrows for his brazen tongue when speaking to the Queen. There exists a near-constant scuffle for authority between the rebels and their fae hosts. Only through the mediating efforts of Mairsal and Crerva's kin Llorva, has the presence of these rebels been continually tolerated in the ever-shifting bogs and paths of Bhradain.
The queen herself is a hard figure to pin down as she seems ever regal and formal despite her constant pestering of her human guests while also maintaining ever-present humanity under her formal guise. The queen is fiercely intelligent, a fact she makes known to any who speaks with her as she knows the inner workings of the human mind unlike any other. However, her being is not all cold stoicism as she keeps guarded a deep longing for adventure and journey that her position prevents her from embracing. It seems that harboring the motivated and fiercely friendly MacBrus has ignited some spark of passion in the otherwise subdued fae queen, what kind of spark remains to be seen?

Sexuality
While she would never admit it, Crerva's attitude toward Mairsal may hint at her own desire for the partisan leader. Crerva routinely mocks and berates many of Mairsal's subordinates who she sees as challenging her own position at MacBrus' side. Even among her own people, Crerva has been accused of harboring the Haklan bandits out of a misguided attempt at romancing and seducing the "bandit queen".

Social Aptitude
To some, Crerva is intensely unlikeable due to her arrogant, proud, and confident attitude. She has an inherent sense of superiority over the humans she now finds around her and one can get the sense she even sees herself above her fellow fae in her role as their queen. She can be an irritant and a pestering one at that as she has little patience for secrecy and scheming as she prefers flamboyancy and grand social etiquette. While protruding a hard exterior of royal snobbery, Crerva is home to a soft heart, from a line of people fallen from glory and at home with hardship. Crerva is among the last embers of the Huldra and her mission to ensure the survival of her people remains at the forefront of her mind, casting aside her own wants and desires instead for a life of foremost duty.
Mannerisms
While outwardly dignified and formal, as a contrast to her more forward subjects, Crerva behaves in a very regal and formal way despite her fiery words. With hands clasped together and a gentle gaze, she can seem outwardly courteous yet as she holds her hands she lays a verbal barrage on any who she sees as having wronged her.
