General Physical Condition

Marati is a towering figure, incredibly tall, and while a stone and rock exterior may seem crude with its abundance of foliage attached when compared to what is known to come later, this cannot lead one to underestimate the force of nature that this hunter is. This mechanical mammoth is in and of itself a marvel to behold as beneath that rough exterior lies complicated machinery interwoven with giant magic which powers it.

To every person who has heard of them, the Kunkal were the emotionless destroyers of mankind in its earliest days. Little else is understood about them and with even less enthusiasm as these behemoths were beings even the giants feared. So afraid of the capabilities of the Kunkal, were the giants, that they induced dormancy on the hunters they could not outright destroy. We find once such hunter awakening from a long slumber beneath the ragged cliffs of Hindsola, off the coast of Iola. This Kunkal, known as "Marati" or Oblivion seems to have been shaken from its supposedly eternal sleep from rippling events further south. By appearance alone, one could surmise that Marati is very old, even by the timeline of the Kunkal as it lacks the menacing biological metal chassis in the popular imagination of these deadly machines. Marati is a very old model, and as such is composed mainly of rudimentary inner mechanical workings with a hardened rock and stone shell of sorts. In its heyday, Marati would have been one of the first of the Kunkal to achieve a state of consciousness and for that, it would have been locked away and buried with a level of urgency indicated by its location under the small island where it has awoken from. By the time Marati was put away, the supposed destroyer seems to have apparently begun to form complete sentences and even ask a few thought-provoking questions directly toward its creators. As Marati emerges from its slumber, these questions linger in the mind of the old behemoth. Questions like "Why was I created" or "What is my purpose"? The lost giant will not find many of its creators capable of speaking to it, even less, creators themselves who have any insight into the processes of these malicious marvels of magic and engineering.

Due to the old age of this machine, quick movements or sometimes even coherent movements can prove to be extremely taxing and difficult. As such Marati moves with a janky stop-and-go motion that can be odd to watch.

It is hard to come up with the words or even situations where Marati engages socially as the giant has a very limited speech vocabulary. However, one can surmise that beneath the cold exterior and mechanical interior might just be a burgeoning soul of a thinking and insightful being that has just been brought back to the world of the living.

Mannerisms

One could be remiss in forgetting that the quizzical and even naive being before them is a crust cracking death machine simply by observing it interact with its surroundings. Marati shows signs of an almost infantile curiosity and will investigate its surroundings and analyze what is happening around it with an odd liveliness.

Hobbies & Pets

Found nearby the Kunkal is an accompanying Koniguló which seems to follow Marati wherever it goes. It seems the giant has understood that it has ensured safety traveling with the lost colossus and while sometimes Marati can prove inattentive to the. by comparison, small being next to it, sometimes the Kunkal will observe the being following it with wonderous attentiveness.

The fact that a machine can speak is enough cause for amazement and concern. What can be construed as a concerning development is Marati's own developing vocabulary as the being is becoming more and more adept at formulating coherent sentences and asking questions about the nature of its surroundings and of itself.
