House Mhiina (HOUSE MEE-NUH)

Summary

House Mhiina was the Royal House of Miliim, associated with the throne of the nation before the Kingdom of Miliim was dissolved and became the Federation of Miliim. Even after this, Mhiina was granted some control within the nation, specifically as a member of the federation. King Leonov Mhiina's wife and eventually his son served as Duchess and Duke of Viin, though begrudgingly as they'd had to relinquish their throne.

Before Leonov's War

Prior to Leonov's War, House Mhiina was beloved by its people. Throughout its history, the kings and queens produced by this family have been fair, kind, and just. Even Leonov himself, for all his faults, did what he did out of love for his people. House Mhiina commanded respect and even admiration from many nations across Aen during the age leading up to Leonov's War, though opinions of the household were diminished after the Courting of Ejiiri.

After Leonov's War

When King Leonov was executed as part of the agreement that founded the Federation of Miliim, his wife was appointed as the representative of Miliim within the federation, as part of the agreement held that House Mhiina would always have a standing within the federation, but Leonov's son was not of age to become the Duke of Viin. Aisha Mhiina served as Duchess of Miliim until her son turned 18 in 260. Since then, Aziir Mhiina has served as Duke of Viin, representative of Miliim. Aziir and his mother both resented the federation's existence, especially the fact that Fainarr had so many representatives within it through its three principalities. They have been staunch anti-federalists, loudly proclaiming their dissent for the new system--and their anger at Leonov's execution.

House Mhiina's Banner

House Mhiina's banner was originally the yellow sun and blue tide that served as the banner of Miliim. However, when the Federation of Miliim was established and the flag changed, House Mhiina was told that they would need to establish a new house sigil as part of the agreement that ended Leonov's War. Aisha chose to honor her husband by making their new flag a golden dragon, reminiscent of Leonov's own dragon who has continued to guard its former rider's grave.
