Lycus Arenaz (a.k.a. Sand Wolf)

Long time bounty hunter for the Vashe Empire. Bounty hunting is only legal for official bounties posted by the government, and abuse is punishable. Lower bounties are typically rewarded for bringing back alive, usually for native threats. External threats, such as pirates, also have bounties placed on them. These are more likely to be rewarded for bringing back dead.

Well made armor with fine matching linens, red and black. A shiny belt buckle and expensive boots. A thick cloak dyed to match his armor.

He carries a long rapier, excellent for duels against a single bounty. He carries a second sword as well, a two-hander.

Personal history

Lycus has lived a long and interesting life. Born to a foreign father of lesser nobility, Lycus spent half his time in Vashe Empire and half with his father abroad. Lycus was well educated and became charismatic and charming. He has traveled to many lands, acted as an agent of Caria, and acted as a soldier. He spent time as a mercenary, but left after poor leadership led to tragedy. His worldly experience came in handy when he was asked to bring in bounties by a friend in local law enforcement. Finding himself good at bounty hunting and able to do something good with his skill, plus make a pretty penny, Lycus has been collecting bounties for over a decade now.

The sand wolf found himself a new protege in the form of Corrin Rourke, whom he was hunting. Corrin showed mercy when the old wolf underestimated him. Lycus saw a lot of himself in Corrin. Perhaps not in the details, but the the theme of being a disenfranchised young man who has already seen too much violence. Lycus helped Corrin get out of his bounty, only asking for the promise of being his partner in hunting bounties in the future.
