During the Realm Wars, Caeles and Mors fought over Aequus, leaving Humans to suffer in their crossfire. But among them, 9 individuals always rise, each discovering a unique aptitude with one of the elements, each one with powers neither of the rival Realms can match. They are The Nine, chosen by the Dragons to defend Aequus from the Wars.

History

Every time a Realm War broke in Aequus, 9 humans would be blessed with the power of the elements. They were always unrelated to the previous generations, with no common structure or organization. But it is guaranteed that, by the hands of fate or another greater force, they always end up meeting one another to fight together against Caeles and Mors.

During the last war, it was the first time in History that every one of the Nine was able to reach the final battle alive, and they were able to combine the powers to close shut the Realm Gates and seal both Caeles and Mors away from Aequus for good. That war changed the whole world, and the sealing of the realms veil prevented Caeles from resetting humanity to its previous state as it had always done. For this, History wasn't re-written, the war was known as "The Calamity", and humans started anew, with the Nine vanishing in History in almost every culture.
