An unexpected turn of events revealed Nouvemond's true motivation, bringing the war to an end.

A group of soldiers under the Nation of Nouvemond was sent to Hrastgar with the objective of delivering a deal with terms of surrender. This visit, though, was received with unexpected peacefulness, as the group approached undisputed. A meeting with the chief of Hrastgar was arranged, leading up to the refusal of the terms. As the soldiers insisted to not leave without a diplomatic conclusion to that senseless war, a long talk about the last few decades took place.   The group had learned that Hrastgar has never once attacked the people of Nouvemond, that they never raided any encampment nor stole any goods, all they had done so far was defending their own territory. Hearing the other side of the story, the soldier returned home with a few too many questions to ask, which resulted in the disapproval of their leading officer, Commander Swales. Eventually, they discovered her motivations, the personal war for misguided revenge and conquest, and together they put her down.   Peace was soon to follow, as neither side had more reasons to fight, and a treaty was set. Nouvemond was to build a branch of Hrastgar's Traveling Notes, while Hrastgar would build the Circle of Heroes, a set of statues representing all of the most important personalities of the nation, both from past, present and future, made with Vilennor's stone. They were all then united under the same flag.
