Keeper

A Keeper is one chosen by God through a prophet to wield The Arvalis. By God's decree, there can only be 1 Keeper at a time. Once a keeper is nearing the end of their lifespan, a prophet (ordained by God Himself) will declare who the new Keeper will be and sets off to find the heir as a baby. Once found, the prophet will take the baby to where the current Keeper is. Then they will be trained from infancy to wield the Arvalis. When the Keeper dies, the heir will become the next Keeper and gain all access to the Arvalis alone.

Qualifications

Heirs to the Arvalis are chosen before their birth by God. Once they are delivered to the Keeper, he may make a judgment whether or not the heir worthy by the time they are young. If the Keeper deems the heir unworthy of the Arvalis, he will dismiss them and new heir will be chosen through the prophet.

Requirements

An Heir must be proven to be pure in heart and mind in order to inherit the Arvalis and become a Keeper.

Appointment

When the Keeper dies, the Heir takes their place and gains full possession and access of the Arvalis. When this happens, there is first a very grand funeral for the Keeper that had just died. During the ceremony, their works as a Keeper are recounted. Then after one week of mourning, there is a great feast to welcome the new Keeper. This celebration lasts for another week.

Duties

Every Keeper has the obligation to protect the world from war. No other nation or country may war against another country or nation. The Keeper holds the power to completely destroy or obliterate any land mass. However, there are great consequences to using that kind of power because of their moral obligations. The role of the Keeper is, at its core, to keep and maintain peace throughout the world, using destructive force only when absolutely necessary.

Benefits

The benefits of being a Keeper are many. They draw on the Arvalis for power and are able to extend their life for hundreds of years. They will never lack for anything because they can simply make whatever they need out of nothing. Keepers also have many different abilities because of the Arvalis, such as teleportation, flight, ultimate strength, imperviousness to any atmosphere, telekinesis, etc...
