Northern Alpalon

Basic Information

Anatomy

Northern Alpalon grow to be just under the size of a full grown horse, close to the same height and proportions to a mule deer. Males have beautiful antlers that can grow to be 3 feet high above its head, and are white in color, and they also tend to be white, or grey in the color of the fur as well. From the neck down to its chest, the fur of the male grows denser and shaggier while the females are smooth all around.

Ecology and Habitats

Northern Alpalon prefer to live in cooler climates and do well in winter seasons. However, they also thrive in warm climates as well, preferring to spend their days in the shade.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Northern Alpalon are vegetarian and only eat herbs, grass, twigs, and other green substances.

Conservation Status

Alpalon are not protected by the kingdom, but neither are they hunted often. Since Northern Alpalon are easily domesticated, most people prefer to use them for travel and for a beast of burden. They run free and wild in the northern parts of Frewen, and in Zarafell as well, however it is common to see them throughout the country in all provinces. If one, however, does die, it's meat is used and sold as a rare delicacy.
