Kavi
Basic Information
Anatomy
omnivorous
The fur is mostly colored in darker more or less saturated blue tones with lighter irregular patterns, caused by vitiligo. Long hair, mane, and tail are of a gray to white color. Very distinctive fur is growing from their chin down to their belly and at the back of their elbows.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Kavi are omnivores, often they graze or pick smaller fruits of bushes, but when the opportunity arises they also solitary hunt down small animals, or even medium sized mammals with the help of a smaller herd.
Additional Information
Social Structure
While most of the stallions are roaming solitary or in smaller groups, the mares are gathering in hers with up to 10-15 members, led by an elder and experienced mare. Foals are raised by the group as a whole.
Domestication
Used as mounts by the Tainted, mostly stallions are captured and trained because they are easier to separate and tame than the very protective mares. Some Tainted see it as an achievement to tame a mare and call it their own. Most domesticated animals form a close bond with their rider over time, especially in exchange for food. Many bonding hours are spend hunting together and sharing the kill.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Their good eyesight and wide range of vision allows the Kavi to easily spot predators or prey inside the forests and grasslands around the Voidwake. Their hearing, which is supported by their 180° turn able ears, and their sense of smell that allows them to differentiate between the slightest odors helps them to stay alive inside the harsh biome.
