Shylrenlenora Osto
The Shylrenlenora Osto are known by many names in Nocarro, from the elven translation of "Cities of the Crescent Peaks" to the more common name "The Seven cities of the Elven Tree. Here is where the elves were born and continue to live thousands of years later. Little is known about this region of mountains or of the elven peoples who live here. In their first one thousand years some elves became curious about the world outside of Shylrenlenora (Crescent Peaks) and left the region and eventually stayed amongst the other races. Since then few elves have left making them reclusive and unknown even to the elves of Noccarro.
There are seven cities within Shylrenlenora Osto and each are the homes of different kinds of elves with their own culture and traditions. Yet all live in harmony with each other and respect the customs their sister cities.
Aa Anore (Blessed Sun)
Aa Anore is the city of the High Elves (Anar Elri), the masters of arcane magic and the relationship between the material world and ley lines, these elves are the architects of beauty. Finding joy in the light of the sun, the High Elves built their cities and towns on the highest points of the mountains in order that the sun might shine the longest in their homes. Despite their height, the domain of the High Elves is never cold and is instead kept warm through a magical barrier surrounding it.
O'altalos (All Season)
O'altalos is the city of the Eladrin (Season Elves), it is the only city that experiences all four seasons and each season changes these elves as a whole. Extremely passionate, these elves embrace change with eagerness and their city and towns reflect this as the very color of their buildings change with the seasons as if they were living.
Kyana Ennore (Glade Mother)
Kyana Ennore is the city of the Wood Elves (Tavar Elri) and their home is the closest to nature. The Wood Elves have guided the forces of the Fey into crafting magnificent homes, powerfully nutritious crops and vast amounts of healthy game. For them buildings are only a necessity for life as many prefer spending the entirety of the day outside among the animals and plants.
Syrenthaes (Tide Bend)
Syrenthaes is the city of the Sea Elves (Eäron Elri) it is the only city that is not within Shylrenlenora, but can be accessed from it through secret portals known only to them. The city is one large port on it's own island, many of their towns are fishing villages built on or below the water. The only city with a navy, the Sea Elves maintain a large fleet, big enough to defend the entirety of the Crescent Peaks and be equal to navy of the Dragonborn Empire.
Felhe Serin (Fallen Starlight)
Felhe Serin is the city of the Star Elves (Elen Elri) who are the most mysterious and withdrawn of the elves. Sometimes called Far elves, the Star elves are said to only live partially in our realm. Their land is covered in perpetual star and moonlight, in honor of the Moon Mother. It is said to be dangerous to travel through the domain of the Felhe Serin without the aid of a Star Elf as it is a land of mystery, wonder, and confusion.
Imyren Edhil (Snow Mountain)
Imyren Edhil is the city of the Snow Elves, a race of calculated and cunning people. Embracing the coldest peaks of the mountain, the Snow Elves are disciplined warriors and shrewd dealers. Of all the elves of Shylrenlenora Osto, they deal the most with outsiders either through trade or in defense. The city sits as the entrance into the peaks and is heavily guarded against unwanted outsiders. The Snow elves also have a very striking appearance with snow like skin, hair, and eyes that many outsiders believe that all elves of Shylrenlenora Osto resemble these strange creatures.
Onyena Asari (Abyssal Forgivness)
Onyena Asari is the city of the Dark Elves (Drow), specifically the Dark Elves who have renounced Lolth and instead pledge loyalty to The Moon Mother. It is the most diverse city as anyone with a dark past seeking redemption and to protection is welcome, their is a significant Tiefling population because of this. Though the city resembles the Dark Elven past, it's dark shaded buildings hold the largest number of clerics and paladins within Shylrenlenora Osto.
