The Dwarven Kingdom of Marnedur

Seated next to the Dragonborn Empire of Alzram, the Dwarven kingdom of Marnedur stands as fierce competitor. Proud and vibrant, the dwarven kingdom stands as a beacon of Amaunator and are the proud holders of the law for Nocarro. Their mountain strongholds are said to be impenetrable and the warriors held within as fierce as lions.

Held together by strong sovereigns and mighty houses of the law, people of Marnedur are headstrong and proud, making their underground mountain cities a force the be reckoned with. Few dwarves who leave home do so out of a desire to abandon their great halls made of stone or the sun roads that pave the way for robust commerce. Most who adventure do so out of a desire to add their name and life to the stories and songs of old, for the dwarven people love the epics of their greatest heroes and recount them as often as they share a meal with one another.

Demography and Population

70% Dwarven and 30% other.

Territories

Their lands lie in the Hinglode Mountains and stretches into the Isol Mountains and the Dreaded Frontier.

Military

The Marendur military is robust and mostly consisting of ground troops. They have a single corp of mages and they offset their allies advantages of dragons with grand siege weapons.

Religion

Reverence for all six with a preference for Amaunator.

Foreign Relations

Marnedur is seen as a proud nation by their allies, thus sometimes causing difficulty in diplomacy. The people are stubborn and slow to change, but honor and law matter more to them then any other quality, this has also earned them the reputation of always keeping their word and never backstabbing in negotiation.

Agriculture & Industry

Mining is the biggest industry, followed by underground farming.

Infrastructure

All of Marnedur's cities are built underground, (save for a very small few) yet they all have one key element. Each has a temple to Amaunator and every temple has a giant carved hole above it with a painting, carving, or other creative representation of the sun. These Sun Eyes are direct openings to the sky that allow the sun of Amaunator to shine upon his temple and his people.

Legislative Body
Laws are created and voted upon by the Five Houses the Law. They are also seen as the nobility class, when a Sovereign dies a new one is voted upon and selected from one of these houses. Whenever a new dwarven house wishes to rise to this level, it must be accompanied by another so that their is never an even number.
Judicial Body
Interpretation and enforcement of the law rests squarely on the Sovereign.
