Yrsa's Pride and Joy
Let me tell you a tale, young one. Many years ago, when humanity was only taking its first steps towards civilization, under our guidance, I was tasked with protecting and guiding the humans of these lands. The cold, and hostile lands I chose, as Torrin's second. I chose them, because I wanted to be the one having to deal with such an unwelcoming place. Harsh lands, making it hard to grow crops, and the cold meant the winters were very rough. It was then when I decided to give humanity a taste of my passion. My love for the forge, and its warmth. High on a mountain, I manifested my will into a large forge, called the Evermolten. And it was there I taught the first humans the wonders of creation, of fire, of life. I taught them to shape metal to their whims. To serve them it whatever it was that they wanted. Armor, to protect themselves. Shields to protect those who cannot do it themselves. And weapons, to harm any who would threaten them. I taught them to create whatever it was that they desired. Mechanisms to build homes with ease. Farming tools to make the most of the hostile lands. Fishing hooks. But what they seemed to value most was armor, and cooking. They loved to share their work among themselves, embracing each other, like they were all kin. Protecting their loved ones, and giving them the fruits of their labor in these massive feasts dedicated to me, and their survival in these lands. Time went on, and their work only got better and better. Eventually reaching such renown that humans from other Domains would seek to learn our craft. One of these aspiring craftspeople was an Inarian man, by the name of Hagane Kamado, seeking to bring the same joy of creation back to his lands. He showed great promise, and the fire of determination inside his heart was great, so I took him in to teach him myself. His techniques were incredibly ingenious, and creative. He sought to use the incredible durability of grimsteel in a sword, but to minimize the weight of it. He was the first to create the hybrid katana that those lands are known for. And while I never knew if it was true, they say he made a sword that could stay as hot as the day it was forged, endlessly, using the power of my forge. To this day I am unsure of how he lived as long as he did, but many of the beautiful swords he crafted now serve as family heirlooms in Inari's and Ari's lands. My pride, and joy. The fruit of all our labor. Protecting everyone, even past the reaches of my domain. That is what I have always strived for. I won't forget his efforts. And wherever the Twins led him, I hope it is a fitting reward for his labor.
