Medjay

When legends need a blade

My uncle swears he saw a Medjay with eyes that glowed like embers. Said the warrior moved like a shadow, took down three bandits before they even knew what hit them. Wouldn't be surprised if they dabbled in dark magic, those masked blades. Best to keep your distance.
Forget your fancy footwork and elegant flourishes. The Medjay are a breed of warriors who carved their fighting style in the harsh sands, not on polished practice floors. Brutal and efficient, their techniques are honed to overpower or cripple foes with lightning speed. Imagine a whirlwind of steel, a dance of death where beauty takes a back seat to raw effectiveness.   Becoming a Medjay isn't for the faint of heart. It requires finding a master, a scarred veteran who bears the mark of the Cobra – a serpent etched into their blade, a constant reminder of their lethal grace. These masters come from a long line of warriors, each one a testament to the Medjay's legacy. To earn the title of "Medjay," one must "simply" defeat another Medjay in single combat. There are no ranks beyond the conferred title of "Medjay."   The Medjay bear a unique look – a veil obscuring the lower half of their faces, something never removed except in private. This harkens back to the wild roots of C'Saidin society, where bandits and pirates roamed free. But don't mistake these masked warriors for common cutthroats. Medjay are a breed apart. They can be hired swords, elite bodyguards, or even rise through the ranks of the military. One thing's for sure – wherever they go, chaos and efficiency follow in their wake.
