Bloodstone Spires
The Bloodstone Spires guard the entrance, the northwest edge, and the northeast edge of the Aspenwall. These towers can be seen from almost anywhere in the city, giving the people a sense of security and safety. They are situated at the main entrance, the northwest, and the northeast borders of the city. The spires peek out over the trees and give a clear view of the surrounding countryside. The guards, soldiers, and military are all housed within these spires and they come equipped with barracks, training halls, armouries, and war council chambers. The The Topaz Nest is situated on the northeast side of the city, beside that Bloodstone Spire and it stands even taller than the spire it is associated with. This is the only building in Aspenshield that exists on both sides of the Aspenwall and it is heavily protected by soldiers and magic, as well as the owls. Originally, when Aspenshield was still a floating Avariel city, the Owl’s Rookery held the Pegasi that would fight alongside the winged-Elves. When the city was placed in the forest, the Elves repurposed it to house the giant owls that were prevalent in that part of the forest. Eventually they converted it into a cavalry force that has since become one of the prides of the Aspenshield military.
