Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Boldan is relatively tall and has a pot belly.  He has large arms and thick legs, and can hammer for hours without getting tired.

Body Features

Boldan is very hairy, from his head down to his feet.  Tufts of hair can be seen sprouting out of all parts of his clothes, as well as on his face and head.

Facial Features

Boldan sports a large nose, and big bushy eyebrows.  His beard and moustache are quite bristly.

Apparel & Accessories

He is almost always seen with his smithing apron, and sometimes forgets to remove his hammers from his belt when he goes out.

Education

Boldan learned from blacksmiths at many different places, but he is not formally educated.  He did get some learning at the Goldtome here in Harvestshield, but he is very sensitive about taking classes with books and being taught by those younger than him

Employment

Runs the smithy in Harvestshield.  He is very good at making horseshoes, spikes, gates, and fences.  He does not get a lot of call to craft any armour or weapons, but he can repair them well enough.  He is not fancy and will not put too much frills on anything he makes.  He does a steady business in Harvestshield.

Boldan is not the tidiest of persons, often having smudges on his clothes and face.  Food can sometimes be seen in his moustache and beard.

Boldan reveres Kleio and keeps a shrine to him in his workshop.  He encourages those who visit his shop to put a small token of appreciation to Kleio, usually in the form of coin.  Boldan assures his patrons that their donations go to the appropriate people.

Social Aptitude

Boldan is gruff, common, and does not give off a good first impression.  For those who take the time to get to know him he can be loyal and steadfast, but it usually takes more than one visit.  Those that give up after only a couple interactions with him don't deserve his time, he thinks.
