Nimbus Fortuna

Nimbus Fortuna is located on the top of one of the tallest mountain peaks in the Mantle. Very few people that are not Giants go and visit unless they have a desperate need or are summoned by Awarnach Astrap, the Cloud Giant King. Several Cloud Giant families in the region were convinced, coerced, or conquered to join Awarnach in the last few decades. Prior to Nimbus Fortuna there were a collection of small families and their ancestral homes atop the peaks of Denethen’s Mantle. While the homes continue to exist, their fortunes and loyalties belong to Awarnach. He built Nimbus Fortuna atop the highest peak on the Mantle and rules from his ostentatious palace in the centre of the city. While not opposed to fighting, Awarnach’s greatest skill is his ability to speak pleasing words to friend and foe alike. His most revered victories involved no bloodshed and fostered loyalty from his followers. He claims rulership over most of the Snakepass Chain even if the lesser beings do not recognize their place. He has Stone and Hill Giants on the lower parts of his region to do his bidding, and Cloud Giants on the peaks to see to his needs.
