Swamplight School

The Swamplight School, in Bogbrook is the only formalized school in all of the Grippli lands and it contains a good number of Grippli, as well as Humans from far and wide who like to specialize in horticulture, botany, and strange practices. Elves and Humans run most of the classes but there a few Grippli teachers. Mostly the Grippli are support staff but they are not treated poorly and as lessers. The school is very strict in its stance on the generosity of the Grippli of Bogbrook in allowing a school to be built. Both sides are benefiting greatly from the arrangement.
The Most Learned Talon Milquist Turnbuckle is the high priest of Gnurich and headmaster to the Swamplight School. He does not care about the politics of the area, nor about the friendship he is helping to foster with the Grippli. He is more concerned with increasing the scope and knowledge of Gnurich in the west. He is not dismissive or combative, but he does not get swept up in any social and political fervour that some of his peers do. He is focused on making the school a big success and a major draw for all civilized people. He is integrative in so far as it is the best decision to make, not for any sense of propriety or equanimity. Some have suggested he allow more Grippli to become teachers or professors, but Turnbuckle will not relent. His stance is that the most qualified person will become a professor, regardless of race and as long as he is the headmaster he will defend that stance strongly.
