Shardhold

The City of Shardhold is the most well-known Earth Dwarf city in the North and it has a great hall in the most southern mountain peak of Denethen's Helm. The diplomats of the Earth Dwarves in Shardhold are very canny as they come in contact with various races that all want different things. It is ruled by King Orsik Steelfist and he is a great believer in the duties of Earth Dwarves as the first line of defense, both militarily and diplomatically. He has a large family, with many sons to take over when he is gone. His wife has passed many years ago, but it only strengthened his resolve to make Shardhold the pinnacle of Dwarven culture (at least in the north).
