Aern is a land built on the ruins of past civilizations and the remains of fallen empires. The last of the great empires, a cyclopean domain ruled by an insane dragon, fell only a century ago. In its wake, dozens of powers vie for control of territory, resources, and subjects.
The powers that created the world answer no prayers, having disappeared untold eons ago. They left their greatest creation, the Elder Dragons, to guard the world in their place. The dragons, however, have plans of their own...
