Each God selects a specific being to become a way for the Gods to communicate with civilization. These "Speakers" become demi-gods themselves - becoming vastly powerful, and conditionally immortal. To transfer information between the Gods and the Speakers, the God of Magic appeared in order to allow this transfer. With the implementation of Magic into society, magical-based species appear.

The Gods of Life, Death, Space, Time, and Order all disliked the idea of giving magic to unchosen beings. The God of Chaos, however, supported this greatly from the shadows.
