History and Culture

Over time, their expertise grew, and their creations gained renown throughout the land. Itomenion's reputation attracted skilled artisans, merchants, and scholars, transforming it into a vibrant metropolis. The city-state's culture is deeply rooted in craftsmanship and artistry. Itomenion's artisans are renowned for their intricate metalwork, producing everything from delicate jewelry and ornate tableware to awe-inspiring sculptures and monumental statues. Their creations are not mere decorative pieces; they embody the spirit of Itomenion, a civilization that values beauty, precision, and innovation.

Government and Politics

Itomenion is ruled by a council of elders, comprising the city's most respected artisans, merchants, and scholars. The council works in consensus, ensuring that the city's decisions reflect the diverse perspectives of its people. This system has fostered a sense of unity and cooperation within Itomenion's society.

Military

The polis has its own military, but it is very limited, often serving more as city guards than actual soldiers. The real military force is a collection of mercenary bands united under the banner of the Coin Guard. These are paid for by the Federation, and serve as formal military in all but name. They consist out of many races, including half-orcs, goliaths, and dwarves.

Society and Social Structure

Itomenion's society is stratified based on skill and contribution. Artisans, merchants, and scholars are held in high esteem, as their expertise is essential to the city's prosperity. Farmers, laborers, and other service providers also play a crucial role in maintaining Itomenion's infrastructure and ensuring its citizens' well-being. Religion and Spirituality Itomenion's people are devout followers of Skafos, a deity associated with craftsmanship and creation. They believe that Skafos has bestowed upon them the gift of metalworking, enabling them to shape the world around them. Itomenion's artisans often invoke Skafos's blessings before embarking on their creations, seeking guidance and inspiration.  Dwarves are by far the most common race, as they founded the polis, but the other Kith races are also represented.
