Paramenic Order
This order of warrior-monks was founded in 304 AS by Grigori Kynigos. They have sworn to rid the world of unnatural abominations that are an affront to the natural order. They worship Katalix, and despise undead of any kind.
Grigori was a priest of Katalix, even before founding the Order. He was apprentice to an older priest named Paramemnon, who taught him all about the tenets of the Death God. He also taught him how to use the divine powers bestowed by Katalix onto his champions. Thusly, they roamed Aeseron, destroying any form of undeath and monstrosity they came upon.
When Paramemnon was killed in battle by a vampire lord named Eidolon, Grigori founded the Paramenic Order to honour his old master.
Paramenic monks are trained in several martial disciplines. They are famous for their use of blackened bronze poleaxes, although not all of them use one. They usually travel in pairs, one master, and one squire, who has completed basic training. The pages and squires are trained in combat, and depending on their affinity, divine magic. They rarely use heavy armor, though it is not forbidden at all.
