Tritos

Tritos was once a proud, isolationist island polis off the coast of Taxatos. Its people, however, were victims of the Titan War. Kata'Kuos, the Devouring Maw, in her battle with Kyma caused the island and all its inhabitants to be swallowed by the ocean. In a last ditch effort to save the kith on Tritos, Kyma gave them the ability to survive underwater. Since then, the Tritons have evolved to true ocean dwellers. For almost two centuries, Tritos was deemed lost by its landlocked cousins. Locked in a perpetual war against the Merrow of Kata'Kuos, the Tritons became more and more warlike. Then, when the war started to seem hopeless, Triton decided to rejoin Aeseron, and seek the help of the other poleis. The Oceanic Wars were a joint effort between Tritos, Taxatos, Itomenion, and Litia.

Current State

Tritos is a patriarchal monarchy, with some noble families vying for power. The current king is Belaboros III of the Galaderon family. They are still at war with the Merrow, but it is less constant than it used to be. Tritos is still fairly isolationist, but does some minor trading and diplomacy with coastal poleis on the continent.

Religion

Contrary to the other poleis, Tritos has changed into a monotheistic religion since their moving into the sea. They only worship Kyma, and accredit more domains to her than the rest of Aeseron. They have a massive marble temple at the center of their city, dedicated to the Lady of the Seas.
