Queen Eina I, the Broken

Following the tragic demise of the Three Kings (1266 A.A.), the Chaplet Ring, orchestrated a mass extraction of the royal family, with a particular focus on safeguarding the Three Kings' offsprings. This covert operation was motivated by the enemy of the crown: the rest of the Revered Orders, the Orders that were blamed for plotting the assassination of the Three Kings.   Understanding that the children symbolized a new hope for the Alarian people, the Chaplet Ring feared that the Revered Orders would stop at nothing to eliminate this potential threat. To ensure their survival, the Chaplet Ring, enlisting the aid of thousands of royal servants, knights, nobility, and devoted citizens from all walks of life, successfully spirited the royal offsprings away from their home city of Trigate. Leaving only distant relatives and the least influential behind, among these people was Eina, a 23-year-old relative of the Three Kings rather than a direct descendant.

Revered Orders' Pursuit

The Revered Orders, vehemently opposed to the survival of the Three Kings' progeny, were incensed by their escape. Even though the Three Kings had perished, the existence of their children was viewed as a looming specter, a potential threat to their dominion. The Revered Orders embarked on an aggressive campaign to locate and exterminate these young heirs, as they believed that as long as they lived, the Orders' hold on power remained precarious.   The Year of Reckoning, a tumultuous period in Alar, was in part defined by the relentless pursuit of the royal offsprings. Rumors abound that the Revered Orders resorted to the ruthless tactic of executing numerous children who bore any resemblance to the children of the Three Kings in their desperate bid to eliminate the true heirs. However, despite their relentless efforts, the Revered Orders failed to locate the genuine royal children, leaving the Alarian people to question whether they ever existed.   To this day, whispers persist that the Chaplet Ring, has successfully shielded the royal family and the legitimate heirs of the Three Kings from harm. While the rest of the Revered Orders, in stark contrast, remain utterly clueless about their whereabouts, perpetuating a decades-long enigma.

Queen Eina's Coronation & Life

For Eina, her life took a harrowing turn. Bereft of her family and thrust into the nexus between the Chaplet Ring and the Revered Orders, she became a puppet queen, a figurehead in a deadly game of power. Her existence was characterized by unquestioning obedience, whether it was signing documents for the Revered Orders or following the counsel of her loyal Chaplet Ring advisors.   Haunted by feelings of worthlessness, Eina grappled with the knowledge that she had been deliberately chosen as a disposable pawn. Her sole purpose was to serve as a stopgap, to maintain the throne until the legitimate heirs of the Three Kings reached maturity, an outcome that terrified the Revered Orders.   Over time, Eina's faith in her family, the Chaplet Ring, and the people around her dwindled, precipitated further by the tragic death of her husband, Lord Thanor Esses, who fell in the battle of Lyabeth Haven, fighting for the Banners of the Perished Roots. Tragically, his death occurred simultaneously with the birth of their son, Rhain (1271 A.A.).

Paranoia and Isolation

Eina's life became a living nightmare characterized by paranoia. She lived in constant fear, acutely aware that her existence was a hindrance to the Revered Orders' sinister agenda. The Chaplet Ring, recognizing her mental state, doubled down on security measures to protect Queen Eina. She was perpetually surrounded by thirty or more elite Sworn Knights, who monitored her every move, even at night when they kept vigil by her bedside. Every night, Eina has to resort to sedatives to achieve even a semblance of a peaceful night's sleep.   Yet, it wasn't just the Chaplet Ring that kept a close watch on Queen Eina and her son, Rhain. The ever-watchful eye of the Revered Orders remained fixated on their every move, further intensifying the suffocating atmosphere surrounding the young queen.

Rhain’s Childhood

Rhain, the young prince born into corruption, endured a nightmarish upbringing. The Revered Orders vied for control over the child, resulting in internal strife and chaos. Meanwhile, his mother, Queen Eina, spiraled into madness, rendering her an unpredictable and unstable presence in his life. The young prince's childhood is marked by manipulation, fear, and uncertainty with no hope for a change in sight.
