Lethassa: Lesieth

Located just north of the Wardemard Peaks, deep in the water lies the village of Lesieth standing as a somber testament to the unrelenting consequences of war. While not as directly affected as some regions, such as the ravaged Nivih, Lesieth's story is one of inadvertent destruction and enduring resilience.   Lesieth was once a thriving agricultural village, cultivating sustenance from the Lethassa. However, the ceaseless conflict above and beneath the waves shattered this tranquility, leaving fields in ruins and prosperity in tatters. This devastation was primarily wrought by a fateful incident from the Councilleria’s side a marcritic cannon, a devastating marvel of Vyt Ancora's innovation.   During the Struggle for the Sea, this marcritic cannon, touted as the harbinger of destruction against Alarian ships. Its initial accuracy was plagued by flaws, paired with the looming approach of a storm. The cannon’s shot missed its intended mark—an Alarian vessel—plunging into the waves. The resulting chaos was catastrophic as the marcritic energy surge struck Lesieth.   The marcritic flames, designed to incinerate enemy vessels, instead consumed the innocent lives of hundreds of Nepheli within Lesieth. Their lives were reduced to ashes in a matter of minutes, leaving an indelible scar upon the village. Witnessing the devastation, the Ephyrans halted further use of the weapon.   Recognizing their role in the tragedy, the grandmasters of Vyt Ancora and the Council of Ephyr extended a helping hand. Hundreds of care packages and essential supplies were dispatched to Lesieth, sustaining the villagers through the harrowing years of war. The Ephyran compassion did not go unnoticed by Lesieth's residents, etching a sense of gratitude in the face of profound loss.   Despite the accidental destruction, the village's ire seemed to turn toward the already strained relationship with the Alarians. Blaming them for the catastrophe, Lesieth's sorrowful inhabitants found solace in the aid and support offered by the Ephyran side. This bond, forged amidst tragedy, stands as a reminder that even amidst the harshest conflicts, acts of compassion can heal even the deepest of wounds.
