Plains of Alar: Lyabeth Haven

Lyabeth Haven, originally the private weekend manor house of Queen Lyabeth, has a rich history that evolved from a peaceful getaway into a thriving village, albeit one marked by both tranquility and turmoil.
In its earliest days, Lyabeth Haven served as Queen Lyabeth's personal sanctuary. She frequented the manor house to escape the demands of her royal duties, spending quality time with her family and finding respite from the complexities of governing the nation.
As news of Queen Lyabeth's idyllic retreat spread, other politicians and nobles were drawn to the serene atmosphere of the manor. They, too, sought moments of undisturbed relaxation amid the verdant gardens and peaceful surroundings. Over time, the manor house expanded to accommodate the growing interest, leading to the establishment of a cluster of houses and gardens that collectively formed Lyabeth Haven.
Lyabeth Haven's allure extended beyond the nobility and high-ranking politicians. High-class citizens, drawn by the promise of a good weekend, flocked to the village. Even members of the local community, seeking respite from their daily lives, found solace in Lyabeth Haven. Eventually, it evolved into a beloved holiday destination for Trigate citizens seeking serenity.
However, Lyabeth Haven's history is not without its darker chapters. During the rebellion of the Banners of the Perished Roots against the Revered Orders, the village became a focal point for rebel activities. The rebels used Lyabeth Haven as a forward base for their operations against Trigate.
In a swift and audacious move, the rebels ambushed the village from the Silver Lake and captured it in a single night. Lyabeth Haven was thrust into a devastating conflict as it became a battleground between the rebels and the Windbreak Pact, the organized force of the Revered Orders. The Perished Roots had initially thrived on the element of surprise, but as the Revered Orders took control of the situation, their chances of victory dwindled.
After months of fierce fighting, the Perished Roots were eventually driven out of Lyabeth Haven. While the village was liberated, the scars of destruction and the lingering memories of the conflict continue to cast a shadow over Lyabeth Haven's popularity and the spirits of its residents.
