Nestled within the treacherous expanse of the
Whitehail Peaks, the
Arkey society thrives as a small yet remarkable community. The
Arkey are born with the
Elemental Host of Ha (
Lightning). Among the diverse races of
Aesor, the
Arkey stand out as the most marcritic (magically attuned) and exceptionally long-lived.
Surviving within the unforgiving climate of the
Whitehail Peaks demands a mastery of the
Marcry arts, a skill possessed inherently by the
Arkey.
Proud and intelligent, the
Arkey exhibit a zealous attitude that drives them to explore uncharted territories and delve into the unknown. With their origins rooted in the divine lineage of dragons, the
Arkey's population remains scarce. Nonetheless, their exceptional efficiency in the
Marcry arts more than compensates for their numerical limitations.
Arkey reach adulthood in their late teenage years, and their probable lifespan is indefinable. The maximum age an
Arkey can attain varies based on their individual body's ability to sustain a healthy existence.
Physical Description
The
Arkey's stature reflects their mixed heritage, combining human-like form with draconic attributes. Their height varies within a range of 5 to 7 feet, and their physique mirrors the resilience of both the humanoid weaknesses of
Balrose Demisaga and the
Dragons.
The
Arkey's physicality has adapted over generations to withstand the harsh conditions of their environment. Cold summers and even colder winters have indelibly shaped their skin and body. Consequently, their colors lack the vibrant variety seen in other races. The
Shattered Light, which radiates heat and light on
Aesor, doesn't deeply penetrate their skin, resulting in a consistent grey hue.
Origins
The
Arkey, heralding the genesis of life on
Aesor, emerged as the primordial race in the
Year 141 of the First Age A.A. Their enduring presence has shaped the world's history across the ages.
Much like their fellow races, the
Arkey are attributed to the handwork of the
Ă“hin, although the precise nature of this creation remains obscured in the annals of history, shrouded in the mists of time.
Believed to have been forged from the very flesh and blood of the dragon-god, the
Arkey bear an indomitable connection to their divine progenitors. This lineage has imbued them with the pride and mentality of the dragonkind, a trait retained from their inception. As the pioneers of creation, the
Arkey stand apart with a profound sense of purpose and creativity, embodying the legacy of being the world's inaugural race.
