Residing far beneath the surface, within the eerie depths of the Hrurvyr Depths situated along the Unborn Path, the Gruul have established their society.
The Gruul's subterranean abode has contributed to their air of mystery and alien nature, leading many to approach them with caution or outright fear. Their cultural traditions, often perceived as strange and brutal, have contributed to this reputation. Yet, as the Gruul have navigated through the ebbs and flows of their society's evolution, they have undergone a transformation.
Over the years, the Gruul have gradually transitioned from their insular and cryptic ways to adopt a more open and socially curious outlook. Despite the prevailing unease surrounding them, their growing resemblance to Aesor's more sociable races has fostered a sense of connection with the wider world.

Deep within the Hrurvyr Depths of Aesor resides the cultic and mysterious Gruul. A formidable presence on Aesor, that traces their origins back to around the Year 786 of the First Age A.A. Unlike the other races, most academics believe that the Gruul's genesis was not the product of the Óhin's creative prowess. Instead, they were birthed from something or someone beyond the understanding of the great minds of Aesor. The Old One's origins is a complete mystery to this day, though many claim that it was only but a powerful monster of the Draconic Era.
