The Break of the Second Age
Era beginning/end
The beginning of a new age and era. Aesor's much needed fresh air after 400 years of continuous tragedies and calamities.
After the catastrophic period lasting 400 years, the era known as the Rage of Fates came to an end, just as the Fateseekers had predicted. With the conclusion of this era filled with tragedies, the Abbey declared the Second Age as a fresh start for mortal kind, promising a new era characterized by hope and heroism. Aesor, suffering from the consequences of the Rage of Fates, was left to mend its wounds in various regions, while its inhabitants sought to reconstruct what had been lost and yearned for a brighter future.
The Draconic Alliance
The establishment of the long sought-after
Draconic Alliance of the Kingdom, also known as the
Second Kingdom or simply the
Draconic Alliance, marked the
Break of the Second Age. The
Abbey finally gained the trust of the
Paragons of Aepollum, and the two factions merged into one, with the
Paragon Dragons serving as the
High Council of the Abbey. As a result, the
Abbey of the Óhin became ever more influential, now supported by ancient mighty
Dragons that survived
Dragonfall. The old capital of the
First Draconic Empire, known as
Aepollum, has been rebuilt, and now serves as the headquarters for the
Abbey of the Óhin.
The Dragonhunters
The
Dragonhunters are currently facing even greater persecution and harsh punishments than ever before. The
Dracary (Feral Dragons) are now being captured and trained regularly to aid the Abbey's cause, along with skilled
Dragonriders who carry out the
Óhin's directives. Over a period of 35 years, the
Abbey gradually gains more political influence and becomes the true peacekeepers of
Aesor, providing assistance to civilians in areas plagued by war, such as
Vahalzaar, the
Unborn Path and the
Gruul cultic wars.
Aesor’s Fate
However, despite the rise of the
Draconic Alliance and the end of the
Rage of Fates, misery on
Aesor did not disappear on its own. Numerous civil wars continue to plague various lands and people, while the
Buried Wars beneath the surface continue to rage. In addition to these conflicts, the
Scions of Vals, a constant looming threat outside
Aesor, persistently strive to shatter the
Shattered Light and seize control of Aesor. Their revered servants, the
Aria, work in the shadows, corrupting Aesor with their every move.
Aesor faces many adversaries, yet the mortals of the
Second Kingdom remain divided due to cultural differences and historical grievances, hindering the formation of alliances.
Will
Aesor be able to unite under a common cause and protect themselves?
Will the
Abbey and the
Draconic Alliance possess the strength to rally the people of
Aesor and combat the encroaching corruption?
Ages come and go, but only time will determine whether
Kalzamaath's children can hold their position or be destroyed by their adversaries or perhaps by their own pride.
