Changeling
The origin of Changelings are unknown, though their ability to shapeshift while having fairly unattractive base appearances by most standards does suggest a race cursed by the Fey. Changelings are a rare race. They prefer to keep their heads down, and many groups outwardly distrust or dislike them.
It's unknown how many Changelings there are, as they're spread all throughout Aesteria in small pockets, but it's known it's not a lot. Changelings do not produce half races, if a changeling has a child with another race the child will be that race as if it is pure of blood. This means that changelings can only create more changelings if they have children together, which is difficult to do as they're so spread out and often not willing to reveal themselves.
- Creature Type. You are a Fey.
- Size. You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you select this race.
- Speed. Your walking speed is 30 feet.
- Changeling Instincts. Thanks to your connection to the fey realm, you gain proficiency with two of the following skills of your choice: Deception, Insight, Intimidation, Performance, or Persuasion.
- Shapechanger. As an action, you can change your appearance and your voice. You determine the specifics of the changes, including your coloration, hair length, and sex. You can also adjust your height and weight and can change your size between Medium and Small. You can make yourself appear as a member of another race, though none of your game statistics change. You can’t duplicate the appearance of an individual you’ve never seen, and you must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs that you have. Your clothing and equipment aren’t changed by this trait. You stay in the new form until you use an action to revert to your true form or until you die.

Biological Traits
The standard appereance of a changeling is a pale and rubbery white skin that is seemingly elastic, as well as large pupil less eyes that are entirely black. Their hair is a white-grey colour, to sometimes a silver colour or dark grey colour.

Naming Traditions
Changeling namesare often short. Though many take the naming conventions of whatever culture they're born into, or change names on a consistent basis.
History
Changelings have had a rough history. In early years they were hunted by Pale Elves for their believed Fey Connection. There were times where the Radiant Citadel hunted them for a believed demon connection. Almost no changelings are recorded in history, or at least none revealed themselves to be recorded as a changeling.
