History

What was once the city of Esari sat upon the tunnels to the Underdark, ones only known to the most powerful of noble Pale Elf houses. When Esari was sacked by the Dwarves and Humans, thousands of powerful Pale Elves fled into the tunnels in a desperate attempt to escape the wrath of those they oppressed. There, they found an inhospitable land of monsters where they were on the bottom of the food chain. They spent a hundred years fighting for a place in the Underdark, and carved out civilization for themselves even as their forms changed to fit their new homes.    The Drow would eventually resurface into the city of Esari, and after a brutal and bloody conflict, find peace and claim it as Darkroad. Modern Drown history is violent spurts of short civil conflict, as well as joint ventures to keep the Lordless Lands truly Lordless.
