House Stormdrake
House Stormdrake has remained a massive political power in western Vanreth since the founding of Iron Edge. A massive industrial house, Stormdrake runs the shipyards of Iron Edge and is responsible for a huge amount of poltical sway because of this. In every court there has been a Stormdrake since the first Paramount took the throne. Their influence over Vanreths economy cannnot be overstated. This prevelance has granted them reprieves no other house, and has spared them potential war more than once.
Stormdrakes history is filled with deals. They've cut exclusive deals with the other kingdoms, with other houses, and with each paramount. They took land in the south following Darkhoods ousting, and then refused to give it back to their old allies. They've held Red Tower for years, having won it in the Autumn War from their rival of House Coldcrest. In recent years, Stormdrake was spared the fate of all others who sided with Fullrider - using their contracts with Requiem and the Hastlands as shields against reprisal fro Ashwell, threatening to take Vanreths economy should the Paramount seak revenge.
Often its been asked by Stormdrake doesn't take the throne. Most point out that they may not sit on it, but House Stormdrake will always own it.
