Human
Humans are an extremely populous species found throughout southern Aesteria, and one that holds a large amount of power in the East where other races aren't as willing to run systems of government. Humans control large kingdoms, powerful houses, and also make up some of the poorer points of society.

Basic Information
Biological Traits
Humans are between 5 and 6 feet tall, with some getting closer to 6'8 or 6'9. Humans have a variety of skin tones based on birth place, with Vanrethian humans having paler skin tones and cooler toned hair. Those in the deserts have warmer toned skin, light browns with darker toned hair, while those in Requiem have pinkish tones with brown and blonde hair tones.

Naming Traditions
Human names are different depending on the culture they belong to. Humans from Requiem have distinct names to those from the deserts. Vanreth a mixed name system, with standard first names and very distinct surnames.
History
Humankind has been fighting since its inception, always striving for legacy and power. Some of the earliest records of man are from its ancient battlefields and dug up weapons of long past wars. Humanity is well known for their squabbles, as infighting kept them from properly rallying against the Pale Elves, and continued to stop their rise up for many years. However, humanity did rally and did contribute greatly into pushing the Elves back, and helped deal the killing blow to the empire.
Post Empire has seen humanity at odds with itself for its quest for power. Constant struggles in Vanreth showcase the human desire to rise up to something greater, while Requiems issues with its own ambition have led to wars, small and large. In recent years, humanities kingdoms have headed the push into magical advancement with Requiems university being the center point.
