Spiremines

One of the largest adamantine mines, the Spiremines remain a potent source of the rare mineral. Supplimenting this are gold veins, though these pay out less than the adamantine. Of note, these mines pockmark the Hydra Mesa and are not single shafts - often created by independent miners. When a mine is discovered, it's often expanded. But more often than not, an independent will find themselves a good amount of gold or adamantine, mine the source, and then search for more to find none. 
The Spiremines nature has let them be a haven for those seeking a place to hide. Abandoned mines dot the mesa, often on paths that haven't been traversed in decades. These little mines serve as homes for monsters, men, and entities who wish not to be found. 
The few running mineshafts were quite successful, and have let Spireflat persist with a stable economy for years.
