Halfling

When the Great Purge began and humans ravaged across the land, many raced earned the enmity of the humans. Though one race managed to befriend them, the small and friendly halflings quickly realized the danger the humans were to them, and went on the forefront and surrendering to them. Though they did not agree with the horribly acts they were committing nor the wars they were waging they kept their mouths shut. The halflings are small of stature only standing between 3 and 4 feet, they are not the most imposing of figures. Their reputation of being friendly have served them well over the years, with no one really hating the halfling race letting them fit in with just about anyone. Though they have also learned to keep their head down when the other races are fighting, preferring to stick to their own interests of food. This doesn't mean that no halflings are adventures or oppose their human overlords, they just prefer to do it in their own quiet ways, slipping past crowds taking a few things they want, delving into a nobles library and ducking under the desk to avoid being seen. When out in public most halflings dress in as colorful clothing they can find, trying to lighten the mood of those around them, and giving them an easier time to navigate unseen when wanting to.
Small Tricksters

At their hearts halflings are free spirits who just wish peace and good food. A halflings biggest dream is to move somewhere peaceful, far away from the horrors of war. Halflings are often somewhat jovial and most seek to speak their joy and laughter to others, dancing and playing music, telling good stories, or playing ticks on people who've deserved it. With no nation nor military to call their own, the halflings who wish to see change done use their talent for being quiet and their unimposing figures to strike in ways most would not expect. Some halflings also go to fulfill another desire of theirs, the desire to know the world around them. And so many halflings take up the roles of scholars traveling around and learning as much as they can. Building great libraries on halfling interests, such as cooking, brewing, bee keeping, and more.
Small Friendly Figures

The dessicion to surrender to the humans was a great plan on the part of the halflings as their race didn't suffer the same loss of people as the other races did, which let the flourish under the grasp of humans. When the humans broke up into different nations the halflings were perfect for filling out positions such as, librarians, cooks, scholars, and beekeepers. Cementing their place within human civilization, with some groups going to the dwarves or elves and receiving the same appreciation. In recent times they are as recognized as much as part of the places where they live as the dominant races. Though the halflings have enjoyed a peaceful existence the death of their god, and the brutal wars that have been waged have affected them severely, and some are hopelessly seeking a way to create peace.
