Strangers
We left Furdevarum and had a stopover in Ravens Rest. I went in to gather supplies. It was a different kind of town, walls marked by claws and citizens who seemed nervous. I don't know if that's customary.
I was approached by a man who knew one of the new travelers we picked up, Oswald. He said he was his brother and I referred him to our caravan.
He came to us later with a lady. Apparently the mother of the two. They left to meet up as a family.
The soup was colder than it should have been that night. I suspect Norbert heated it up and took it off the fire too soon.
I sensed stormy weather coming and I told Fosh. I worry the horses will struggle.
Oswald didn't come back that night. I suspected he would be back in the morning.
The next morning was strange. Xalitix slept and Tarcil was supposed to help me pack the caravan. He left abruptly to "help" Oswald and he brought Ebros. I got the job done regardless.
I figured out a new way of stacking the boxes so they won't slide on bumpy roads. One of the horses has a crooked hoof, it does not seem to bother her, but I will keep an eye on it.
Our new travel companions were gone for around one hour, but came back looking like plucked chickens. Tarcil looked near death, but made it. I am glad the spirits sparred Ebros, he does good work. Oswald also came back. They all seemed eager to help pack the caravan now.
The weather has been stormy and rainy and we have made camp in a clearing.
Oswald just left us and walked into the forrest. Ruprecht decided we can't trust him if he is of arcane blood, which he admitted to.
I hope whatever happens to him is just and deserved. I won two games of Sticks and Stones tonight, I also lost four.
Tarcil and Ebros are still here. I cannot tell if they mourn the loss of Oswald yet.
I hope for a peaceful journey to Vesniae. I should talk to Xaltix about where to go next when we are done here.
The ground is cold, but wet. It makes me miss home.
