"Admiral" Edward Lowly is a strange pirate captain indeed. Before earning the moniker "The admiral" for successfully organizing the defense of shadowright, he was known as "the gentleman pirate". Having served as a buckaneer for the Yervan navy before his relationship with them turned sour, he later turned from middling privateer to highly successful pirate. It was precisely this experience that proved instrumental in later defeating the much larger Yervan fleet during the battle now known as theBurning of Shadowright
