Sabeth Geddye

Renowned Archaeologist with a specialty in pre-aether storm artifacts and their influence on the human mind. In recent years she has broadened her studies to how Aether bloodlines are formed. Having led several highly successful expeditions all over the known world, she is known for her dogged perseverance, stubbornness, and most of all her curiosity and love for history.

History

For a while, she has served as an acolyte in the coven of Mycellium, but in the end, her unquenchable curiosity made her unsuitable for the somewhat introspective life of a mycellian monk. What first drew her to the coven was their strong focus on learning from past events, but later in life, she came to view them as too stagnant for her taste. Despite the coven and her growing apart they parted on good terms.

Moshabar

Its unsure what role Sabeth played in the founding of the seekers of truth, but considering her role of prominence as editor for the Moshabarian Journal Of Magical Practices she's likely to have been either one of the first recruits or the founder. This theory is further strengthened by several publications by her describing the mind influencing nature of certain artifacts and locations found around Moshabar.

Research

For Sabeth the madness pushed her further and further from her past beliefs of the cult of mycelium, driving her to not only investigate existing bloodlines but also to try and create them. Her research on the early stages of Aether bloodlines made her particularly skillful at this, with at least two such creature types directly attributed to her so far;
Darklings
Warped human beings where all light and heat is drawn into their core leaving their skin dark and clammy to the touch. Upon death, this pent up energy is released in a fiery ball of energy.
Selkies
An attempt to recreate the human body in a plant form, these creatures are made from seaweed and fused cartilage and bloodvessels of other bloodlines, in particular the Irrevian bloodline.
