Ignia (Ig-Nee-Ah)
Goddess of Light and Fire Ignia
It is said Ignia is born from the fires of earth and that she was gifted the sun. Ignia has a personality to match this, always rushing into things head on and being of a competitive disposition. When her twin Noxia was born they were told to govern over the sky 12 hours a day each. Ignia boasted that she could govern over the sky for a much longer period of time and attempted to do so. But like all fires she burned herself out.
This is why during Frostfade and Greenfall the sun burns brighter and hotter.

Divine Symbols & Sigils
Ignia's symbol is that of a crudely drawn sun, to symbolise her rash and rough behaviour. She is known to throw herself into situations headfirst and not take any precautions or think about what might happen. Her celestial beings and divine patrons are the white Gumiho, great foxes with nine-tales. These foxes hold the power of fire and light.
Tenets of Faith
Ignia is the goddess of the sun, light and fire. The main belief for her followers is once Aether has run its course, the world will be cleansed in fire and burn like the fires of the first age. Thus followers of Ignia tend to live life to the fullest, tending not to think about consequences.
Holidays
On the 1st of Ignamen, local religious areas to the south of the world, celebrate Ignia's fiery passion with bonfires, great torches and fireworks. These celebrations have been known to often get out of hand and some parts of the world see it as an opportunity to burn people at the stake.
