Jance Vangmar

Jance Vangmar was a half elf knight in the order of the brotherhood of darkness. Their order was named so when they became the only living human force able to stand against the undead hoards, due to their command of Dwarven weapons they had traded for. Jance had been raised by his human father after his mother left to return to her people. She was asked to lead a new group of elves in seeking elder magic to aid in the fight against the undead mage and his army. His father had served as second in command under Trailn Vargyn . When he had been slain in combat, his son Jance was promoted to his position. In life, Jance was a bitter youngster, as he was treated poorly by his fellow knights for being half elf. In undeath, he was humbled by what his torment taught him, and was one of the few knights able to summon enough rage to temporarily break the hold that the god of darkness had on his will. Having been in a unit sent to fight the Rhwym Vaelym , he knew how to find them. He fled to where the Vaelym were stationed, only to find his mother there to greet him. He humbly asked for reprieve, and was conditionally granted his request. He was given magical items to give to those willing to join him in seeking to free themselves from the hold of the god of darkness within his brotherhood.
