Mortisbane

Mortisbane, a rare and potent plant with powerful anti-undead properties. When processed into an oil, Mortisbane becomes a deadly weapon against undead creatures, causing them immense pain and turning any part touched by the oil to dust. Description: Mortisbane is a small, unassuming plant with dark green, serrated leaves and clusters of tiny, luminescent white flowers. It is found only in the most remote and inhospitable environments, such as high mountain cliffs or deep within ancient, untouched forests. Its elusive nature and potent properties make it highly sought after by those who seek to combat the undead.   Preparation: To create Mortisbane oil, the leaves and flowers of the plant must be carefully harvested, ensuring not to damage the delicate blossoms. Once gathered, the plant material is crushed and mixed with a neutral carrier oil, such as olive or almond oil. The mixture is then gently heated over a low flame for several hours, allowing the active compounds in the Mortisbane to infuse the oil. After the infusion is complete, the mixture is strained to remove any solid plant matter, leaving behind a clear, golden oil with a faint, eerie glow.   Effects: When Mortisbane oil comes into contact with an undead creature, it causes an immediate and intense burning sensation, as if the creature is being consumed by an otherworldly fire. The oil seeps into the undead's necromantic essence, disrupting its animating force and causing the affected area to rapidly disintegrate into dust. This effect is permanent and cannot be reversed, making Mortisbane oil a highly effective weapon against the undead.   Usage: Mortisbane oil can be applied to weapons, such as arrows, bolts, or sword blades, to give them the ability to harm and destroy undead creatures. It can also be used to create traps or barriers to deter the undead from entering certain areas. However, due to its rarity and the difficulty of obtaining the Mortisbane plant, the oil is typically reserved for the most dire of circumstances and used sparingly by those who possess it.
