Personal history
The history of this prosperous and thrill-seeking woman is one of profit, fortune and exceptional circumstance. Born and baptised amongst the more isolated and cooperative Mek'rodemzai clan Devataama, her tribe was most notable for their trade routes through the Vasharan & Duat'tera Desert along the Bolotani Bay. She grew up travelling across the deserts, riding upon the backs of Bromal caravans, learning the skills of negotiation, bargaining and haggling between the coastal towns and the Prideland territories. Following in her fathers footsteps to appease the Tabaxi by offering useful trades of silk and jewels found within the Ozon'Siiari Sultanate and trading it for profit and food. As a youngster, she caught the eye of many within her tribe, and her mother put her to good use to win favours and promises. After her committal into the Devataama tribe, singing the commemorative 'Scream of Heart Thunder' - Dharashana and her two sisters travelled with their partners to begin a trade business within Ankh'hera, seeking a life outside the isolated tribe. There they found their way to the beautiful city of Ara-Pampor - immediately she fell in love with the sights, the smells and the hustle and bustle of the inner city. Her sisters began a small caravan business - while she set out to the market areas, using her guile and charm to attract customers and rich merchants to fill her pockets.
Over the next few years, she honed her talents and her own beauty as the 'Mistress of the Golden Roads' - bringing in clients and merchants towards her sisters business, attracting a small fortune. But with each successful swindle and charm, she dared to venture for more valuable game. For most Mek'rodemzai, sex was not a sacred act, and it won her many bargains and paramours across the city and even further beyond - it became a game of cat and mouse for her. At first it was just two or three suitors at a time who would pine for her affections, dabbing her with many gifts and prizes, jewellery and favours. After a while, she aimed higher, and attracted some of the clientele that reached for the Sunblush Sanctuaries - especially those who tended to be acting on business away from their wives. After a year of taking different suitors and a few highly-valued business patrons from the Sunblush Sanctuaries - she found herself taken hostage in the night and led to an undisclosed dark corner in the city, where one of the head matrons of the brothels started to question her, threatening her that if she'd ever start encroaching on their territory and clients that she'd end up in chains and servitude just like the rest of her kind. Though, bold as ever, Dharashana made a deal with the matron in exchange for continuing her own line of work. She'd heard rumours that some of the merchants were smuggling prized courtesans in and out of the city, sometimes even kidnapping them for the lusts and valuable services they provide for their customers... whenever she'd get wind from her clients through her natural combinations of charm, allure and talent, she'd provide them with fair warning when it is one of their girls that's labelled for kidnapping. How did she know? Well, she spun the tale that she could get any secret she wanted out of anyone, given a little time and a few bottles of wine and a nice cosy bed... but in actuality, she and her sisters were sent here as part of a smuggling ring and railroad of the Mek'rodemzai, the 'Golden Road'. They would be able to grant sanctuary and safety out of the cities for Mek'rodemzai slaves across different cities, and her sisters were another cell of the group - Dharashana was the active agent within Ara-Pampor. Slowly but surely they would help liberate her people. Acting in accord with the matron, who held similar sympathies, but truly she sought out more fortune than idealistic liberty.
Dharashana learned a thing or two from each of her paramours through each venture over the years. A little gossip here, a little hint there, an accidental secret spilt over wine. But one resounding relationship she held for nearly a year, was with a particularly influential son of one of the Pampered Overseers of Ara-Pampor. The young budding nobleman held a great collection of illusory magic and arcane tomes - to which, she even felt intrigued towards and learned a thing or two. Stealing a couple of his books, she learned further on how to extenuate her features to become more alluring and hold disguises whenever she could smell trouble coming around the corner. But after being found that she had seen three other suitors at the same time as the young nobleman, the Pampered Overseer called for a bounty to imprison Dharashana - thus, she had to flee, under a new alias. She hid amongst the Golden Road, her sisters coming up with a new name and features with the gold they had collected - beginning a new enterprise as a spice merchant, Lady Dharalinn Windwaker. She escaped from Ara-Pampor, and journeyed up and down the river delta aboard a river vessel known as the Desert Bloom. Though she was loathe to give up her fruitful ventures and exciting suitors, she was thrilled to be free once more and chance upon new bounties in other riverside towns and cities - one day she hoped to make her way to the City of Ancient Wonders, Ankh'hera itself.
