The Mystras of Ankh'hera
The most powerful oracle in the world, and the primary leader of the Pridelands of Ankh'hera. Originally, the Mystrasi was chosen in ancient Ankh'hera when the Tabaxi people were divided after a great conflict in Androzea, the ancient state of the Androsphinx. Blessed to bring greater wisdom from a wandering deity, Pansophia granted the power of divination to foresee great events and to guide the people to a prosperous future. Since then, the Mystrasi has taken the role to bring greater prosperity and order - but in sacrifice, as the powers also ordain the bearers death upon its acceptance. Impressed by the actions set to unite their people, Pansophia ensured that the spirit of the Mystrasi would live on as a 'shining soul', and would be succeeded every generation with a new Mystrasi upon the death of the former. It is said that the River Ississa would devise a new Mystrasi upon the black shores and bring about a new generation of prosperity and progress - many believe that the Mystrasi gains their reincarnation from the waters, finding what had thought to have been lost to the world. The mark of the Mystrasi was always determined by the Prident, the guardian of the kingdom in the absence of the Mystrasi - it was said that before the death of the Mystrasi, the Prident would be asked a question that would be kept secret, the answer left unsaid. When the Mystrasi returned, the Prident would ask the question and request what they would have answered with - to prove them to be the new Mystrasi, it would be with the answer that the Prident had chosen from their former incarnation. Thus, if proven true, the Prident would grant them the Seers Crook, a shepherds crook, long and decorated over time with a hook shaped into an open eye at the end.
The Seers Crook represented the power of the all-seeing eye at its top, whilst also representing the care of one's flock, the people of Ankh'hera. Used in order to defend against predators to the flock, catching them and managing them. Whilst traversing difficult terrain, is an aid to balance oneself through it, as well as used to part thick undergrowth or obstacles from ones view - all symbolic and representative of the Mystrasi's role and purpose to guide. Each time it has fallen into the hands of a new Mystrasi, it's shape, make and form has made subtle changes, reflecting the character of the wielder - it has even said have developed sentience over the millennia, referring to itself as "Malachi". One legend tells that it was made from the gilded oak of the first ancient baobab tree of Aetha'Shar, grown from the remains of an ancient primordial known as the Overgrowth, whose climactic battles with the titan Mor'Goron helped create the lands of the world. Having seen almost every age since mortals first came into being, it holds ancient knowledge and secrets from multiple lifetimes, and only serves to bring order to the world - matching benevolence with the might of its wielder. Through Malachi, it aids in the appointment of the Court of the Sphinx and whom would serve to be the Mystrasi's Great Vizier out of many. It can always sense the truth, and can judge a persons character by simply being nearby it. Possessing magic both ancient and new, always learning and always observing the world in which it is nearby. The magic it possesses is always divinatory, capable of scrying anything and anyone in the world in the present. With such power, it judges any that attempt to wield it and always speaks the truth - even if it is blunt and horrible, but even in its old age it does not possess omniscience, and does not always hold the right answer... yet it speaks its truth always.
