Half Esper

Born of an Esper and Hyur parent, Half Espers are extremely rare and many would find their existence alone to be a terrifying prospect to consider. Luckily for half-esper children they have the ability to change their appearance either to one reflecting their bestial, esper heritage, or their mortal one to more easily blend in with others unnoticed.

Due to your Esper heritage, you are able to take on a monstrous form, granting you unique abilities and powers which reflect your parent's primal nature. You may use a bonus action on your turn to transform, and may revert to humanoid form as a bonus action. While in your Primal form you gain the following abilities: Elemental Resistance
  • You have resistance to one type of damage associated with the elemental nature of your Esper parent.
  • Natural Weapons
  • You gain a natural weapon attack that is considered magical. This can represent claws, hooves, horns, etc. The damage this weapon deals is equal to your Hit Die and deals a type of damage that is appropriate to the weapon type.
  • Primal Magic
  • At 1st level, choose a single cantrip from any spell list. When you reach 3rd level, choose a 2nd level spell which you can cast once per day with this trait; you regain the ability to cast it when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, choose a 3rd level spell which you can also cast once per day with this trait; you regain the ability to cast it when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
  • Tempering Resistance You cannot be Tempered by your Esper parent, and you gain advantage on all rolls to resist being Tempered by another Esper.
